The Animal Orphanage is a non-profit animal shelter whose mission is to rescue unwanted and neglected cats and dogs in parts of the South Jersey area. They work hard to provide housing and medical attention to these homeless animals and place them in loving homes. They are private and operate solely on what is raised through the shelter. There is no county or state money that is allocated to help keep them open. Over 2,000 animals are adopted from our shelter each year.
Mandy and I volunteer with the Animal Orphanage in Voorhees, NJ. We are big animal lovers (ask our dog, Bella or our cats, Milo and Dolce) so it was something that we enjoyed doing. There are so many pets that come into these shelters, that they almost become overloaded. A lot of them need more money so they can better provide for the animals, so it was great being on the forefront to try and accomplish that. We also foster animals that might not otherwise survive in the shelter. At one time we had seven animals in the Gocong house. They're just such great companions. I can't imagine myself without having a pet.
Maybe you can find it in your heart to share your home with one of these homeless animals. Or perhaps support their spay and neutering program by purchasing a $10 tee. Visit their site at www.theanimalorphange.org Mandy and I appreciate your support.
