I was born Gosder Cherilus in Haiti on June 28, 1984, to Morisena Exilus and Jenel Cherilus, I came to the United States at age 14 and became a U.S. citizen shortly after. I attended Somerville (Mass.) High School where I played football, basketball and performed the shot put for the track team. In 2007 at BC, I was honored to serve as team captain, along with DE Nick Larkin, LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar (New Orleans Saints) and QB Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons).

Was named all-ACC second-team selection and recipient of the team’s Unsung Hero Award in 2007. Also, All-Atlantic Coast Conference second-team honors and served as a team captain.
