Jarvis Pernell Green was born the son of Marion L. Caesar Green and Pernell Green on 1/12/79 in Thibodaux, Louisiana … Twin Brother, Jason, was a teammate and linebacker at Louisiana State (1998-2001). Jarvis opened a restaurant in his hometown, called The Capital, to help provide jobs and give back to his community.
The Jarvis Green Foundation helps provide support to single working mothers in disadvantaged, low-income areas. It is also helping to provide for former LSU and Patriots teammate Marquise Hill’s son, Ma’Shy. Hill was killed in a jet ski accident on May 28, 2007. A portion of the profits are put into a trust fund for Marquise Hill’s son, Ma'Shy, and his family.

One of the most dominating LSU defensive linemen in school history…Ranks fourth on the school’s career-record list with 20 quarterback sacks for minus 123 yards. In seven NFL seasons, Green has started 34 or 108 games while recording 279 tackles (171 solo), 27.0 sacks, 9 forced fumbles and 6 fumble recoveries.

In his 7 seasons in New England, Green has been a part of 5 division championships, 3 conference titles and 2 SuperBowl crowns. Green’s 108 games played for the Pats entering 1009 rank 3rd among active New England defensive players. One of the biggest games of Green's career came on one of the NFL's biggest stages, as he recorded a career-high 2.5 sacks of NFL co-MVP Peyton Manning in the 2003 AFC Championship Game (1/18/04). He also set a career high with six tackles (5 solo) in the game.
