I was born in Melbourne to Italian parents. In the off season, I still reside in Preston, Australia with my wife Rose, who is a nutritionist, and our two sons. My dad, Michael, works in a paper factory and my mom, Anna, is a bank teller. I started my professional career as a goal kicker in Australian rules football and moved to the NFL. While I averaged just under 3 goals a game, I was noted more for my ability to kick accurately from great distances which ultimately led to my try out for the Eagles. Before signing with the Eagles, I trained for a week with former NFL punter Darren Bennett, who is also a former Australian Rules Football Player. Darren really helped me learn the basics and the technique of what it takes to punt in the NFL. I've always had the power to kick through the ball, but the technique is what gets you far in this league and he was very helpful with that.

Career Highlights:

• NFL special-teams Player-of-the-Month for Sept, 2008
• Downed a career-high 5 punts inside the 20 at Dallas (12/16/07) a week after booting a career-high 3 vs. NYG (12/9/07). It was the most by an Eagles' punter since Dirk Johnson (at Dal. 10/12/03)
• Played for North Melbourne from 2000-06, leading the team in goals from 2001-02, and in 2004
• After debuting for Collingwood in 1992, was the Magpies' leading goal kicker from 1993-99
• In 1997, finished 2nd behind Tony Modra in the running for the Coleman Medal, which is given annually to the league's top goal-scorer
• Was the 1995 recipient of the Copeland Shield, which is given to the Collingwood player who is judged as "Best and Fairest" for that year
